Le Rhyme and Reason Tour, a du être annulé après l'annonce d'un accident de vélo de MIKE D. Les Beastie Boys devaient participer à cette tournée à travers les USA avec Rage Against The Machine, Busta Rhymes et Green Day. Un communiqué officiel paru sur le web des Beastie Boys donne quelques détails : "Mike D was bicycling through NYC over the weekend, had a run-in with a pothole, and ended up dislocating his shoulder. After many trips to many doctors, it's been decided that Mike will need minor surgery to repair the damaged bits. Mike's going to be OK, but after the third opinion came back that 45 days of touring could cause permanent damage to his shoulder, everyone agreed the tour would have to be postponed."
